Wisconsin Craft Distillery Financing

Wisconsin Craft Distillery Loans | SBA & Conventional Financing

US Professional Funding provides Wisconsin craft distillery financing for owners, buyers, and operators across the state. SBA and conventional options are both available. Funding can support acquisitions, start-up costs, expansion, equipment, and working capital.

Wisconsin’s craft spirits market benefits from a growing craft spirits scene alongside one of the most historic beverage traditions in the country. Distilleries in the state often need financing that reflects these local conditions.

Craft distilleries across Wisconsin have financing needs shaped by production capacity, tasting-room traffic, and aging timelines. Raw materials, payroll, and distribution costs are also significant considerations. These must be managed alongside growth, such as additional barrel storage or expanded tasting-room space.

USPF evaluates each Wisconsin craft distillery financing request individually. We consider the business, the purpose of the financing, and the transaction structure. This applies whether the goal is acquiring an existing distillery, launching a new one, or funding equipment and facility needs.

Craft distillery acquisition financing for purchasing an established distillery
Start-up financing for new distilleries and tasting rooms
Expansion and real estate financing for facility growth and tasting-room improvements
Equipment financing and leasing for stills, fermentation tanks, and bottling lines
Refinancing and debt consolidation for existing distillery debt
Working capital and lines of credit for raw materials, payroll, and distribution
Merchant cash advance financing for seasonal cash-flow needs

Craft Distillery Financing Across Wisconsin

Craft distilleries in Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Kenosha, and Appleton each face different market conditions. Production costs, tasting-room demand, and local competition all play a role. Distilleries in larger metro areas like Milwaukee often face higher facility and equipment costs. Distilleries in smaller communities may see a more localized customer base.

Regardless of market, Wisconsin craft distilleries frequently need capital. This can mean funding a distillery acquisition or launching a new tasting room. It can also mean securing working capital to cover raw materials, payroll, and distribution during growth.

Wisconsin Craft Distillery Acquisition Financing

Investors and operators acquiring an established Wisconsin distillery can use acquisition financing to fund the purchase price. This helps preserve working capital for staffing, inventory, and transition costs. USPF reviews the scope of the transaction, including existing production capacity, tasting-room performance, and brand strength.

Wisconsin Craft Distillery Start-Up Financing

New distilleries entering the Wisconsin market may require start-up financing. This can include still installation, facility build-out, licensing, and initial operating costs. USPF works with qualified borrowers to evaluate financing structures for a new distillery. This includes considering the owner’s experience and business plan.

Wisconsin Craft Distillery Expansion & Real Estate Financing

Growing Wisconsin distilleries often need capital for expansion or facility upgrades. Additional barrel storage and expanded tasting-room space are common goals too. Financing can also support real estate acquisition, construction, or major facility improvements.

Wisconsin Craft Distillery Equipment Financing & Leasing

Distilling equipment represents one of the largest investments a Wisconsin craft distillery makes. Equipment financing and leasing can help fund stills, column systems, fermentation tanks, mash equipment, bottling and labeling lines, and barrel aging infrastructure. USPF structures equipment financing around production goals and cash-flow needs, so distilleries can scale output without draining working capital.

Wisconsin Craft Distillery Refinancing & Working Capital

Existing distillery debt can also be refinanced or consolidated. Restructuring equipment loans, property debt, and short-term capital into a single facility can improve monthly cash flow. This frees up capital for raw materials, staffing, and reinvestment in production.

Cash-flow gaps are common in spirits production because of extended aging timelines. Merchant cash advance financing can provide additional working capital for raw materials, packaging, payroll, and tasting-room improvements during slower periods or ahead of peak demand.
